The client required a multi-purpose building comprising of two stables a workshop and a covered secure storage area. The building needed to fit within a specific area of 11m x 7.4m between the main drive and the paddock to the rear.
After close consultation with the client the design was agreed to ensure a perfect solution and offering flexibility of use for the future.
The walls are clad with Ex 19 x 150mm joinery quality Shiplap Boarding with Corrugated Fibre Cement Roof Sheets in a natural grey finish, including six translucent rooflights. The internal walls and ceiling of the enclosed bay are fully lined with 18mm OSB boards allowing for a storage area above.
Along with the internal Stable Divisions and lockable internal doors the building includes two front facing windows fitted with Vertical Grille Bars and Removable Perspex Panels.
The Frontage is framed with two 200 x 200mm Oak front posts with Oak tree bracing.
Although original used for horses the client is currently using one of the stables as a Kennel and is delighted with the flexibility the design provides him.
